Our Voorhees hospital is designed to provide comfort and care to patients and their families. This includes private patient rooms, healing gardens, walking paths, and meditation spaces.
Virtua Voorhees Hospital is a designated Regional Perinatal Center. We partner with hospitals across South Jersey to care for pregnant patients at risk for delivering their babies early. These patients are transported to our Voorhees hospital. If they do deliver early, our level III NICU provides the highest level of care for premature newborns.
Virtua Voorhees Hospital has both an adult emergency room and a pediatric emergency room.
- Adult care for patients 18 and up: Our emergency room provides prompt treatment for patients with minor illnesses and injuries. And we have an acute care area to immediately treat serious or life-threatening situations.
- Pediatric care for patients 17 and under: We treat more than 15,000 children for emergencies every year. The children’s emergency room has providers from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), a top children’s hospital in the U.S.
Hospitalists are board-certified internal medicine and family medicine physicians devoted exclusively to the care of patients during a hospital stay. They oversee all patient care and collaborate with specialty physicians and services such as physical therapy and social services.
Hospitalists share all relevant information with each patient’s primary care physician to ensure seamless care and thorough follow-up after the patient is discharged.
